Houhai Lake

Houhai lake is surrounded by many restaurants, bars and souvenir/apparel stores. While walking around the lake you can observe the traditional hutongs that are fast disappearing in modern Beijing. You can hire a rickshaw for a tour through the hutongs. In the summer you can also rent boats.

| Directions: | Most taxi drivers will know how to bring you to Yan Dai Xie Jie (烟袋斜街). Walk down the alley (that has plenty of bars and souvenir shops) and soon enough you will see the lake that is Houhai. |
